Coolgraphic is organising for the Italian Cultural Institute the 2008 Italian Language Week at the Potterrow - Bristo Square, in collaboration with the Edinburgh University Student Association (EUSA).
For a few hours the vibe of an Italian Piazza will be recreated, where Italian restaurants will participate to promote their regional cuisine and other entertainment will take place. Be a tourist in your own city! Our “Students only lottery” will give away generous prizes related to Italy.

Italian Cuisine
Free tasting of top quality Italian food and produce offered by several Italian Restaurants

Italian Coffee tasting
The chance to try, for free, espressos, cappuccinos and other specialities from the Lavazza range of coffees

Live Music
Concert of Pizzica e Taranta, dance tunes by the Southern Italian folk group Sanguevivo

Lottery
First prize an APRILIA scooter, generously offered by Sunsub; the other prizes will include Italian food and wine, vouchers for Italian restaurants in Edinburgh, Italian designer products

The tickets for the lottery are available exclusively to University of Edinburgh students, and can be purchased for £1 each at the Potterrow shop; from the Italian secretary, DELC TO, 59 George Square; and from the Italian Cultural Institute, 82 Nicolson Street.

The lottery draw will take place in Potterrow at 4.30pm. Prizes will be awarded only to ticket-holders actually present at the draw. If there is no response to a number drawn, the caller will proceed to extract another number. Winning tickets not immediately claimed at the time of the draw will consequently be deemed ineligible. A current valid student card must be shown alongside the winning ticket to obtain any prize.

All cash takings from the lottery will be passed to the EUSA, to be used for cultural / welfare purposes.
